We all need a companion—someone who helps when we’re in trouble, laughs with us in good times, and weeps with us through pain. This is why Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to be our Comforter.
In this message, Dr. Stanley shares how the third Person of the Trinity works within us to:
Fulfill the inner man. When we let the Holy Spirit exercise Himself both in and through us, He gives us good qualities known as the fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22-23).
Enable us to become the people God wants us to be. Our job is simply to submit to the Spirit and obey His voice.
Empower us to accomplish what God wants us to do. The Holy Spirit gives each of us spiritual gifts—divine capabilities chosen by Him to enable us to fulfill our callings.
Remember, no matter what you’re going through, the Spirit of God is right there beside you providing strength and encouragement. He loves you more than you can imagine, and His affection will never falter.
