The divine authority of all of Revelation is affirmed. John now speaks as a prophet in Jesus’ name. In “Three Finalities of Revelation,” Dr. Stanley describes how John reinforces Christ’s final promise of His imminent return and the rewards He will bring with Him. Then John repeats Christ’s final invitation for everyone to join Him, including every lost person. Finally Jesus warns specifically against tampering with the Word of God.
