Peter's goal was to encourage those facing difficulty by showing them who they are in relationship to Jesus Christ.

In this message, “The Encouragement of Our True Identity,” Dr. Stanley examines Peter’s conviction that each Christian’s identity is like a stone built upon the foundation of Jesus Christ. God has fitted us all together in the body of Christ to love one another. So in times of discouragement, we need only rely on the strength of love and encouragement from others.

The Spirit of God has equipped us to face everything. We just need reminders that He wants us to walk in joy, as people who know our identity.
